Description: The collection consists of 3 loose photographs, 2 cartes de visite, 2 daguerreotypes, and 12 black and white and cyanotype photos mounted on a single page of paper, depicting the U.S. Navy service of Charles J. Barclay (born 1843). Views include Barclay as a midshipman through Rear Admiral. Also seen are USS Amphitrite (BM-2) and Lieutenant Charles McVay. Originally donated by Nancy B. Long to the Naval Historical Foundation in 1965, and subsequently donated to the Naval History and Heritage Command.
